An awesome interview with neil patel, co-founder of Crazy Egg and Hello Bar

Neil Patel one of the most popular guy in bloggers world. He is the co-founder of Crazy Egg and Hello Bar.
Here's an interview where he shares his opinions and advices. Here he also answers a rapid fire round. Some answers are one of his kind of course.

1: Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I am a digital marketer and entrepreneur who has been in the space for well over 10 years. I primarily deal in founding SaaS companies and helping companies grow traffic and revenue.

2: How you first got involved in with blogging?

I first got started years ago, shortly after founding my first digital consulting agency. I was really intrigued by the ability to reach a large audience and help them learn the skills I had learned along the way.
3: Are you a full time blogger?

I would definitely be called what you would consider a full time blogger even though it isn't my main focus. I write throughout the week and am pretty meticulous in my approach to helping others out.

4: What’s your strategy with your blog in general?

The way I approach writing is very topical. I used to write on a range of subjects but now I have narrowed it down to a number of key topics that resonate within the community. I think it's important to provide value first and foremost.  The way I figure what to write on is by using Buzzsumo.com to see what is resonating with my audience.

5:  What do you do when you aren’t working on your blog?

I focus on other entrepreneurial endeavors -- primarily growing my software company Crazy Egg and Hello Bar.

6: What’s the best thing a blogger can give to his readers?

Value -- I think answering questions you can't find answers to anywhere else is the true hallmark of a great marketer. It's important to provide value and focus on the things that matter.

7:  What was the most challenging moment in your blog content development process and why?

Creating headlines is always a challenge. I try to find compelling headlines that really resonate with my target audience. I sometimes spend hours just thinking of a good headline. It doesn't matter how good your content is, if you can't get people to click your headlines, you won't succeed.

8: How do you keep coming up with material/content for your blog? Many people struggle with coming up with different articles/posts and they only have one blog.

I research thoroughly and find what type of content is popular in the marketing realm.  Another great way to find what topics to write about is to go on Quora and find questions that are popular -- then answer them. You can also use Buzzsumo as I discussed earlier.

9: How would (someone) describe your blogging style?

I write with a personal touch and try to touch on as many digital marketing topics as possible. I try to tie in personal experiences which makes the content unique.

10: If someone was interested in blogging, what would be a few things you would suggest?

Find something you are passionate about and start writing -- that's vital. You can only provide your best content if you have a passion for it. Once you have that, write in a conversational tone using the words "you" and "I". You should also ask a question at the end of your posts to increase the amount of comments you receive.
